1. What this policy covers

We explain which cookies and similar technologies (like browser local storage) Flipria uses, what they are for, and how you can control them. It applies to the public website, the application (/app) and the books our customers publish.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies do not require your consent because they are essential for the service you have expressly requested.

• Supabase Auth session cookie: keeps you logged in to the application (/app). Without it you cannot log in.
• fr_read_{book id}: when you unlock a password-protected book, this httpOnly, signed, daily-expiring cookie remembers that you already unlocked it so you don't have to re-enter the password on every page.

3. Local storage (not a cookie, but a similar function)

When you read a published book, your browser may save in local storage your choice to accept or reject the measurement scripts that book's publisher has enabled. It is stored only in your browser; we do not share it with anyone.

4. Cookies and third-party scripts inside a published book

Books our customers publish may include Google Analytics 4 or Meta Pixel if that book's editor enables them. Those scripts only load after you accept the consent banner shown in the book; if you decline, they do not load. Flipria's public website (this site) does not use these scripts.

5. Web fonts

Our fonts (Sora, Instrument Sans, Source Serif 4) are self-hosted on our own servers: your browser does not connect to Google Fonts when you visit Flipria, so your IP address is not sent to Google just for loading the typeface.

6. How to control cookies

You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking the session cookie means you cannot log in to the application, and blocking the unlock cookie means you will need to re-enter a password-protected book's password on every page.

7. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date on this page.
